Suq Festival - 28th Edition

14 Jun 2026 - 24 Jun 2026
Genova, Italy Genova, Italy Genova, Italy

Suq Festival opens its doors from 14th to 24th June 2025 at Genoa's Old Port and other venues in the city, with a theatre preview on Thursday 13th. Open every day from 4.00 p.m. to midnight; free entrance to all events except theatre performances. On 13th June there will be an opening at 9.00 pm only for the show. There will be many institutional partners, starting with the important patronage of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO and the Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security.

At the heart of the Festival is the Teatro del Dialogo review with 9 shows, dedicated to dialogue between cultures, which interweaves prose, music, and images and fills Piazza delle Feste and other nearby spaces: Isola delle Chiatte and Chiesa di San Pietro in Banchi in the historic centre. For this 27th edition too, the original set-up will be unfailing, with the scenography reproducing a Mediterranean bazaar, full of scents, colours, and the flavours of many different cuisines to be tasted: Indian, Arab, South-East Asian, Mexican, Northern European, Senegalese, Nigerian, Persian, Lebanese Syrian, South American, and vegan. And you will also find Syrian sweets, Arabic coffee and tea.

There will be many meetings dedicated to sensitive topics such as peace, refugees, migration, women's rights in the world, and the more or less visible borders we find ourselves crossing. As always, a special space will be given to the environment with the Ecosuq Review. There will also be musical concerts and the traditional showcooking with Chef Kumalé.
