Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival (YSJF) is an annual international music event held in Ystad in southern Sweden. Each year in early August, the festival presents around 40 concerts and related events.

Since it started in 2010, YSJF has featured Swedish legends, rising talent from Sweden and Europe, and international jazz stars such as Quincy Jones, John Schofield, Dianne Reeves, Charles Lloyd, Al Di Meola, The Manhattan Transfer and Hugh Masekela.

The appeal of YSJF is based on presenting high-quality jazz in atmospheric settings and intimate, historic venues, dating from the 13th to 19th centuries, in and around the medieval, coastal town of Ystad.

Sweden’s most well-known international pianist, Jan Lundgren, who lives in Ystad, is the festival’s artistic director.

YSJF is an international festival now widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading summer music events – it is the biggest summer jazz festival in Sweden.

The 13th Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival will be held on 3 – 6 August 2022.
