15th Open House Festival
An International festival dedicated to the body and movement through the lens of contemporary choreographic creation and performance.
The International Contemporary Dance and Performance Festival, Open House, brings together local and international productions, happenings, and people to create a unique festival experience centered around different interpretations of the body and movement.
The festival aims to bring contemporary artistic creation closer to the city and its people and contribute to the evolution of the choreographic scene on the island. The goal of the curatorial line is to host controversial works that are open to new interpretations and critical approaches while simultaneously exploring choreographic structures with innovative and interdisciplinary means.
We see the concept of house as an imaginary space that hosts our artistic values: the promotion of experimentation with choreographic methodologies and forms, innovation, extroversion, and the provocative rhetoric of artistic content.
We view the festival as an opportunity to share our ideas around the question: How do we perceive contemporary dance today? We open our house by hosting our festival in various theatres, art centres, and public spaces.
Every year, Open House Festival is renewed and evolves, maintaining its innovative approach.
