6Fest Street Arts Festival
6Fest is the first Bulgarian independent festival dedicated to performing street arts such as contemporary circus, puppet theater, living statues, fire arts, stilts, street magic, historical reenactments, dance, music, etc. The festival was established in 2017 and has 15 editions so far. The festival was part of the official program of Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture 2019 and the Cultural calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. So far, 6Fest has been held in 9 cities. Since 2019, the main edition of the festival has been held in Plovdiv. The festival has held traveling editions. The purpose of the 6Fest festival is to promote carnival and street arts in Bulgaria, to support professional street artists and improve their relationship with audiences. The festival has been realized over the years with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, the National Culture Fund, the Plovdiv 2019 Foundation, the Municipality of Plovdiv, Sofia Municipality, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Sliven, Troyan, Gabrovo and others. The 16th edition of the 6Fest Street Arts Festival is coming to the city of Plovdiv in the spring of 2025 - from 24 to 27 April. The entrance for all the festival events is free. For the sixth consecutive year, the festival is part of the Cultural Calendar of the Plovdiv Municipality.
6Fest Plovdiv 2025 will present street artists from various countries, including Bulgaria, Italy, Finland, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, Serbia and Ukraine in various fields of art - carnival big puppets and constructions, circus, puppet theatre, fire, living statues, stilts, music.
