Espoo Ciné 2026

Espoo Ciné International Film Festival has established itself as a showcase of contemporary European cinema in Finland. The festival presents some of the most interesting new films, both from established creators and emerging talents. The emphasis is in the European art house and artist film. Special attention in the festival’s programme is given to issues of minority representation. Espoo Ciné presents a special focus on disability on screen, Crip Ciné, as well as a workshop for new talents from different minorities, Sinun Ciné (Your Ciné). The 37th edition of the Espoo Ciné will be held from 21 to 30 August, 2026 in different venues in Espoo and Helsinki. The festival also hosts Junior Ciné, an event dedicated to children and young audiences.
