Nicosia Book Fest (10th Edition)
10 Years of Cultural CreationThe Nicosia Book Fest 2025 marks a milestone anniversary: ten years of continuous presence and rich contribution to the literary and cultural landscape of Cyprus. Since its inception in 2016, the festival has evolved into one of the island’s most vibrant and inclusive cultural institutions, having attracted tens of thousands of visitors and actively supported the entire book production ecosystem—authors, publishers, booksellers, translators, artists, and readers of all ages.The 10th edition of the festival will host over 100 participating organisations, including publishing houses, bookstores, writers’ associations, cultural institutions, and embassies. More than 200 authors and creators will take part in presentations and discussions across the festival’sstages—performance stage, Analogio, the Literary Stage, the Children’s Stage, and the Main Stage, which will also feature high-quality music and theatre performances.The festival offers a comprehensive cultural experience, blending entertainment, education, and creative engagement. Visitors can participate in workshops, relax in reading zones, explore specially designed children’s activities, and immerse themselves in a multi-layered program designed to bring books and literature closer to everyone. Admission to all events is free.The Opening Ceremony will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Spilies venue, while the main festival activities will unfold on the weekend of October 11–12 at Acropolis Park, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Attendance is expected to exceed 15,000 visitors, based on the previous years’ experience.The festival’s Program Committee has been renewed for the 2025–2026 period, chaired by writer Costas Lymbouris and comprised of leading voices in literature and education. The committee will evaluate proposals submitted through an open call for participation in the Literary Stage, the Children’s Stage, and the Performance Stage - Analoyio.
