Trengo was born in 2016 and annually presents several contemporary circus shows in public and interior space.

The new languages of the circus are the common factor to all programming that maintains a strong relationship with national creators looking for a close relationship with the public in a relaxed and familiar environment.

In the first 11 editions, between 2016 and 2026, it presented most of the programming in the city of Porto, but since 2023 it has been developing partnerships with Teatro Viriato in Viseu and since 2025 with Ponto C in Penafiel, presenting programming in extension.

In 11 editions we have more than 225 presentations of 142 shows, of which 26 in absolute premiere with support or co-production of the Festival from 23 countries.

In addition to the shows, we organize several extra activities such as training, conversations and meetings between artists and programmers - “Empurrão”.
