Vicenza Opera Festival

Founded by Iván Fischer in 2018, the Vicenza Opera Festival is an annual celebration of music, artistry, and community. Each year, the festival stages an opera production at the historic Teatro Olimpico, accompanied by a symphonic concert and chamber music performances across the city.At its heart, the festival reflects Fischer’s signature approach - innovative, deeply artistic, and inclusive. Beyond the stage, musicians from the Budapest Festival Orchestra bring music to hospitals, schools, and public spaces in Vicenza, making the festival a shared experience for the entire community.The 2026 edition features Mozart’s Magic Flute, presented with Fischer’s innovative perspective, ensuring a compelling and accessible performance. The festival is also made possible by a dedicated group of supporters, whose generosity helps sustain its unique blend of world-class performances and outreach initiatives.
