Wratislavia Cantans was established by Andrzej Markowski in 1965 as an oratorio-cantata festival. Presently, the festival focuses mainly on emphasizing the beauty of human voice.

Festival souvenirs were designed with care for the natural environment too. Music lovers could buy festival posters printed on FSC-certified paper, promoting environmentally, socially and economically sustainable management of the world’s forest resources. Backpacks and T-shirts with the image of the 58th International Wratislavia Cantans Festival were also available for sale. The backpacks were partly made from recycled PET bottles, and the T-shirts were made of organic cotton. Guests could buy specially designed reusable glass bottles. The souvenirs were produced locally to reduce carbon footprint during transport. Every gesture that helps improve the condition of the environment matters, and together we can do even more.
