World Music Day

Jeanne Godenèche - 19 Jun 2024

This Friday 21 June, we're celebrating the arrival of summer with music. The longest day of the year is the perfect time to immerse yourself in a symphony of sounds and rhythms.

Created in France in 1982, World Music Day is an opportunity to celebrate music in all its forms, giving everyone free access to music and giving all musicians the chance to perform in public.

This day is an invitation to dance, sing, discover and even get involved, all in a vibrant and joyful atmosphere of sharing.

Discover 9 genres of music to listen and dance to in those European festivals, all throughout the weekend. Each festival offers a unique experience, reflecting the richness and diversity of the European music scene.

So let yourself be swept away by the magic of music, and make the most of this exceptional weekend to celebrate summer in all its beauty.

‘Music is a universal force that unites people of all ages, origins, status, beliefs and tastes.’ (Make Music Day Lviv)
