Symphonic salsa, baroque-era Beatles, flamenco ballet set to opera music? These discoveries await you exclusively at the Christopher Festival!Guided by its core mission and motto – “More of the World of Music” – the festival expands the very notion of professional music. It breaks down barriers between genres and styles, invites audiences to experience the richness and beauty of musical diversity and fusion, embraces innovative performance formats, and fills unique spaces in Vilnius with vibrant sound. This concept is appreciated not only by a growing local audience but also by the international professional community, which identifies the festival’s greatest strengths as its unexpected collaborations, openness to the public, and successful integration of innovation. In 2025, the Christopher Festival will continue in this spirit, inviting audiences to engage in “Dialogues” – the unifying theme of the year’s programme. Through this lens, the festival will explore music's role in social discourse and its boundless communicative power. Addressing cultural, social, and political dimensions, the theme will unfold through performers’ personalities, event formats, and concert repertoire. The Dialogues programme will take place from July 1 to September 9, in venues across Vilnius – including St. Casimir’s and St. Catherine’s Churches, the Bernardine Garden in Sereikiškės Park, the courtyard of the Adam Mickiewicz Library, and other locations around the city. On stage will be artists and creators from Lithuania and far beyond – as far as South Africa – all united by the belief that music, as a shared human experience, can foster empathy, deepen understanding, and illuminate the richness of diverse perspectives and values. This is a vital condition for creating a safe space for meaningful dialogue about the world around us.The Christopher Festival will also continue to prioritize accessibility and education, improving successful existing formats, introducing new ones, and reducing physical, psychological, and financial barriers to participation in its events.
