Welcome to Korsholm Music Festival.
Since 1983 the festival has invited leading Nordic and international musicians to perform in unique
surroundings, such as historical halls, museums, wooden churches typical for the Finnish west coast and in UNESCOs heritage site Kvarken. The theme for 2020 is WILD, FREE AND LONELY and refers to L v. Beethoven 250 year and the Happy Twenties! Composer in residence this year is the Swedish composer Mats Larsson Gothe. Finnish composer Sebastian Fagerlund´s Woodlands Variations has its Finland premiere. Excursions and local food is offered around the 30 concerts in the region.

On the Finnish west coast only one hour from Stockholm and Helsinki You find Korsholm Music Festival a chamber music festival since 1983. The festival is situated in the city of Vaasa and Korsholm Archipelago. Foreign and Finnish chamber musicians play during 9 days in the light nights, in unique historic concert halls, museums, rustic archipelago rooms and wooden churches. The repertoire is ranging from symphonies, baroque and classical chamber works to contemporary music and jazz.
