Korsholm Music Festival
The Korsholm Music Festival is a chamber music festival in the Vaasa region, on the west coast of Finland. Every year, in the end of July and beginning of August, Korsholm Music Festival offers more than 20 concerts and public discussions.
For over 40 years Korsholm Music Festival has invited leading Nordic and international artists to perform in unique surroundings of historic concert halls, museums, and wooden churches, so typical for the west coast of Finland. The concerts outside of Vaasa city centre are easily reached with the festival bus.
The repertoire ranges from baroque and classical chamber works to contemporary music and opera productions. Every year the festival invites its own composer-in-residence and showcases their music. In addition to the concerts, the festival offers excursions full of music, activities, nature, and delicious foods.
