NUITS LYRIQUES DE MARMANDE - MARMANDE OPERATIC NIGHTS

For 35 years, our vocation has been to promote Lyric Art, from Marmande, by promoting young emerging professional artists.
Our objectives :
- to detect young opera singers at the beginning of their career through an International Singing Competition
- to insert them professionally by allowing them to be hired by the directors of international opera houses in our ecosystem
- engage them in productions, concerts and recitals organized by the association.

To meet this need, the Nuits Lyriques offer, each year, a hub of meetings between young talent and potential employers with the International Singing Competition and the Nuits Lyriques Summer Festival, which make Marmande "the place to be" for opera with, during the last week of August, nearly 200 young singers, 20 professionals (opera directors, agents, conductors, etc.) and more than 4,500 spectators.

We participate, thus, in the professional integration of young lyric artists thanks to three tools:
- An International Opera Singing Competition designed to detect young talent.
- A program of shows in two annual periods:
- in spring: Brigades Lyriques Itinérantes and Impromptus Lyriques
- in summer: creation of an opera, recitals and shows allowing the engagement of laureates and candidates of previous years' competitions
- A jury of international professionals from the world of opera who propose engagements to the candidates of the Competition.
