"OPERA LIGHT", a new artistic proposal!

Within the framework of the artistic revival supported by the DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine, it is a question of creating a concept and a format of lyric spectacles, with orchestra, linking proximity, mobility, accessibility and quality, while allowing a fast resumption of the activity of the professional artists and, in particular, emergent.

From a condensed adaptation of a reference opera, with a light orchestration (25 musicians) and 2 to 4 soloists in space, the opera opens up to new audiences. This mobile and flexible "format" makes it possible to be close to the audience, especially in rural areas and their populations.

Opera Light is accompanied by mediation actions that allow for the active involvement of actors who are far from opera in the project.

Opera Light makes it possible to preserve all the dimensions of opera: dramatic, vocal and orchestral. It proposes a "lighter" opera, put in full "Light" for all audiences.

Through the Opera Light Project :
- we develop a collaborative approach between several regional artistic structures;
- we support cultural employment by multiplying the possibilities of
engagements offered to artists and technicians who have been hard hit by
the sanitary crisis;
- we allow the inhabitants of the Lot-et-Garonne
to rediscover the taste of live performance by creating links between
individuals;
- we renew our artistic proposals with a form of musical, theatrical and vocal narrative.
