Ένα Φεστιβάλ στη Σαμοθράκη

The theatre company Field of Art, in collaboration with the French theatre company Collectif Strates - a fellow of the international organization Ibsen Awards - submits a proposal for the second edition of Ena Festival sti Samothraki. One Festival in Samothrace 2023, will focus on contemporary creation by presenting a wide range of artistic activities. The theme of this year's festival is summarized in the title "Statue", and the events that will take place aspire to combine theatre, writing, photography, cinema, and music.

The Ena Festival sti Samothraki was established in March 2022. It was an innovative idea for Samothrace, who was enthusiastic from the very first moment and aspired to become an institution. It is organized by the theatre company Pedio Art in collaboration with Collective Strates and a group of volunteers who permanently reside on the island.

Planning a cultural festival of on-site creation in Samothrace results from several years of visioning. Based on our personal connection with the island, we wanted to develop an artistic activity capable of being a step towards highlighting the identity of this remarkable place. The choices of the group are determined to keep in line with the particular pulse and color of the audience, which consists of the island's permanent residents, the students of the workshops, beekeepers and farmers, arts professionals, students from the nearby city of Alexandroupolis, and cultural visitors from mainland Greece.
