Tancredi by Rossini, Owen Wingrave by Britten, L’enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel: these are the three operas of the 51st Festival della Valle d’Itria, on from July 18 to the August 3 in Martina Franca, around local masserie and other locations steeped in Apulia’s charm (Italy).Curated by artistic director Silvia Colasanti, the new edition is titled “Guerre e pace” (Wars and peace), and it is rooted in 20th and 21st century music while remaining faithful to the Festival’s original choices. Alongside the operas we have concerts – including Šostakóvič’ Fourteenth.
