“Count me in!”
is all about sharing stories that highlight diversity, equality, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in the seat of art festivals. In this series you will hear their stories, and see how we can all make a difference by standing up for each other.

For us, diversity is a given, not something we want to work with, or we want to do. Our team is very diverse in age, social and cultural background, sexual orientation, and in language, which directly means that the things we do and talk about are reflected on through different perspectives. This year, after our 18th festival anniversary, we have written down our Amsterdam Fringe method, in how we reflect on diversity and how we work. A writer and visual artist have translated this method into a board game, which is free for everyone to use.

The Amsterdam Fringe Festival introduced the “Fringe Method,” a playful tool created with writer Simone Zeefuik and artist Lamiae El Hajjaji to inspire creative brainstorming. This method explores festival values like diversity and artist support, emphasising fringe art's role in cultural storytelling. Aimed at fostering artist connections and career development, it features a downloadable guide to help users engage deeply with these concepts.
