"At Trentino Marketing, our mission is clear: we want everyone to experience the joy and beauty of the mountains," says Stefania Clemente, responsible for Destination Social Responsibility. For Stefania, the I Suoni delle Dolomiti festival is more than music. It's about creating opportunities for inclusive encounters, even within the challenging landscape of the Italian Alps.

Alice Scudiero, from the Digital Communication team, adds: "Our aim is to ensure everyone feels welcome and informed. We believe communication should be inclusive, sensitive, and accessible, bringing the festival closer to the diverse communities that surround us."

Trentino is known for its breathtaking beauty. Yet, its natural landscape presents unique challenges for accessibility. Here, accessibility doesn't mean building ramps or removing physical barriers. It means understanding the mountain’s limits and working creatively to engage with them.

The region has responded by nurturing a robust network of associations, cooperatives, and social tourism operators. Together, they've opened pathways for people with disabilities to experience the magic of the Dolomites. Since 2022, I Suoni delle Dolomiti has proudly embraced this challenge, introducing accessible events as part of the Trentino Open Project.

The project launched with four carefully selected concerts, each designed with inclusive transportation options, such as slow-moving wheelchair bikes, allowing attendees with mobility impairments to comfortably reach mountain venues.

For those with hearing impairments, innovation offered another solution: Subpacs. These wearable audio-tactile devices enable participants to physically feel the rhythm of the music through vibrations, transforming sound into an inclusive sensory experience. Alongside these devices, sign language interpretation services (LIS) further ensured music became accessible to everyone.

Digital platforms and communication strategies also evolved, providing detailed and inclusive information tailored to visitors' diverse needs.

Stefania summarizes their vision perfectly: "Inclusivity isn't just an added feature—it's fundamental. The mountains teach us limits, but they also inspire us to transcend them in innovative, compassionate ways."

At I Suoni delle Dolomiti, music is truly for everyone, blending the beauty of nature with the richness of human creativity and compassion.
