Free Festivals
Festivals aim to be more inclusive and provide their audience with opportunities to have access to culture. As a result, it is rather common to find festivals with free admission for children, discounts for teenagers, students, or those under the age of 25, as well as for the disabled, seniors, and unemployed. Some festivals have gone even further, offering free-entry events or being fully free and open to everybody.

Serralves em Festa

This Portuguese European Festival of contemporary and interdisciplinary art will take place for 50-hour, non-stop. Indeed, Serralves em Festa aims at celebrating cultural diversity and innovation through an eclectic programme. K-Fest
31 May - 3 June 2024 | Killorglin, Ireland
K-FEST is known as Ireland's top festival for emerging artists, transforming Killorglin into a hub of culture and creativity. The festival features an extensive programme of over 60 events, most of which are free, offering a welcoming atmosphere for all ages and providing visitors with the chance to connect with like-minded creatives. Attendees are encouraged to explore exhibition spaces, pop-up galleries and craft markets, engage in chats with artists in local pubs, attend workshops and discover new bands at music events. Mural Fest Kosova

The 9th edition of the Festival of Murals will be giving the floor to the women in our lives, in all their glory, who inspire and leave their mark on the world with their colourful personas. With the title ‘Her Spotlight’, this year’s festival will honour and celebrate the different multitudes of femininity with 8 female artists who will create in front of yours eyes 8 murals. Rhodes & South Aegean International Jazz Festival
1 - 6 June 2024 | Rhodes, Greece
The Rhodes & South Aegean International Jazz Festival (RIJF) showcases both young and talented artists alongside internationally renowned jazz musicians, fostering creative collaboration in the Aegean and Mediterranean region under the theme 'Jazz across the water'. The festival organises concerts and educational events at several locations amongst which, several free events will be featured from 1 to 4 June. Holstebro Festive Week 2024
8 - 17 June 2024 | Holstebro, Denmark
The festival will feature ten days of celebrations, showcasing everything that makes Holstebro unique. Holstebro Byjubilæum, in partnership with Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium, aims to involve citizens as actors and participants in the festival. Therefore the city's cultural institutions, trade unions, clubs, and other community organisations will collaborate to make this week a significant milestone. The festival's theme revolves around dreams, which are seen as the driving force for change throughout our lives.
